The Course

The course at the Glen Oaks Club has been one of New York's most prestigious golf courses since 1972. The exclusive private course features three nine-hole courses that are played in three 18-hole combinations.

COURSE HOLES

This club has three nine hole courses that are played in three eighteen hole combinations. The Red/White Course has a water hazard on hole #3, a 170-yard, par 3. The greens are small, fast, and well protected by sand. The White/Blue Course combination has four water hazards that come into play on some holes. The two most severe water hazards are on holes #2 and #9 on the Blue Course. The Blue Course also has dogleg left fairways, and requires many shots past the water hazards and sand bunkers. The last combination, the Blue/Red Course, has water hazards that come into play at least three holes. Five of its fairways are doglegs. Overall, each course has narrow fairways that are lined with white birch trees, and their small greens are fast and well bunkered.

All three courses were designed in a similar fashion, except the Blue Grass Course has wider fairways. Water hazards only come into play on three of the twenty-seven holes. All three courses were built on hilly terrain, so you can expect many uneven lies.

GLEN OAKS CLUB

The Glen Oaks Club has hosted the BEF Golf Invitational for the past seven years and is an ideal location for golfers and event attendees. The golf course is beautiful yet challenging, and the club amenities are attuned to tournament players’ needs. The elaborate dining room at the Glen Oaks Club is the setting for our end-of-day dinner and awards ceremony, for a perfect conclusion to a great day.

During the BEF Golf event, appropriate dress is required on the golf course, range and putting green at all times. Slacks or Bermuda type shorts, shirts with collars and sleeves are required. Cut-offs, gym shorts, swimwear, sweatsuits, blue jeans or denim are prohibited. All players are required to wear spikeless golf shoes on the golf course, range and putting green. Please keep in mind that slow play ruins the enjoyment of many players. Players are requested to watch the pattern of play both in front and behind their own game, keeping a reasonable pace.
